2. ● Features of silica desiccant:
Silica is a kind of highly active adsorption material. Usually, it is processed through reactions of sodium silicate and sulfuric acid, as well as aging and acid bubble physical process. Silica is an amorphous substance whose chemical formula is mSiO2.nH2O. It has stable chemical properties and does not react with any substances except strong base and hydrofluoric acid.
Silica’s chemical composition and physical structure determine that it has many features difficult to be replaced by materials: high adsorption performance, good thermal stability, high mechanical strength, non-toxic, tasteless and pollution-free.
